Reviewing and delivering changes

Coming soon

How to read an agent's diff, send it line-by-line comments, and commit, push and open the review from the Taller.

Code written by an agent gets a serious review before it's delivered. The Taller has everything you need to do it without leaving the app.

The diff

Each workspace has its diff: the list of lines that changed compared to the starting point.

  • You see new files, changed files and files you haven't committed yet, all together.

  • Line numbers on both sides.

  • Images side by side, to compare visual changes.

  • A preview of HTML pages next to the diff.

  • Help resolving conflicts, with all three versions in view.

You can compare against another branch or another commit from the diff bar. Use F7 and Shift+F7 to jump to the next or previous change.

Line-by-line comments for the agent

  1. Hover over a line in the diff and press the + that shows up next to it.

  2. Write what you want changed, in full sentences.

  3. Save the comment with Cmd-Enter (on Windows and Linux, Ctrl-Enter).

  4. When you've finished reviewing everything, press Send to agent and choose which agent to send it to.

The Taller combines all your comments into a single instruction, each one attached to its line. Sending them together works better than one by one: the agent thinks once and fixes everything in one pass.

Comments stay on their line even if the agent changes the code. Use them to check the fix and mark the ones that are already right as Resolved.

Commit

  1. Select the files you're going to commit in the source control panel.

  2. Write the change message, or ask the AI to draft it from what you selected.

  3. Press Commit.

If the project has automatic checks before committing and one fails, the Taller shows you the error right there. With Fix with AI you pass that error to the agent so it can fix it; it's never asked to skip the checks.

Push and open the review

  • Push sends the workspace's branch to the remote repository. The Taller never force-pushes silently: if history needs to be replaced, it shows that to you as a separate, explicit action.

  • Then open the pull request from the same panel. You can ask the AI to draft the title and description; review them before sending.

A recipe for reviewing well

For each part of the diff, ask yourself: is this change needed? Is it the minimum? Does it fit with the rest of the file? Comment, send, let the agent fix it and repeat until it's clean. More in recipes.
