Installing the Taller
Coming soon
How to install DesarrollAndo Taller on macOS, Windows and Linux, what happens the first time and how it updates.
Download
When it's available, you'll have an installer for each system:
macOS: for Apple Silicon and for Intel. The app will be signed so macOS recognizes it.
Windows: a classic installer.
Linux: AppImage (x64 and arm64),
.deband.rpm.
The first time you open it
When you open it for the first time, the Taller:
Asks for permission to read your home folder, so it can add projects.
Offers to import the settings you already have for your agents (for example
~/.claude) and your terminal.Leaves you on an empty screen where you add your first project.
Requirements
git installed and available in the terminal.
At least one command-line AI agent installed and signed in (see supported agents).
Your own subscription or your own keys from the AI provider. The Taller doesn't come with one included.
Updates
The Taller updates itself and follows the stable channel: versions that have already been reviewed. You can also check for updates by hand from the app menu.
On Linux, whether the app can update itself depends on the package you install: the AppImage updates itself; with .deb or .rpm it's updated with your system's package manager.
Notes by system
macOS
Even though the app is signed, the first time macOS may ask you to confirm that you want to open it. That's normal.
Windows
You can choose whether the terminal opens PowerShell or CMD in the terminal settings. PowerShell is almost always the better choice.
Linux
The terminal command is called dsa-taller instead of dsa, so it doesn't clash with other programs on the system. See the dsa command.
If something fails when installing or opening it, check troubleshooting.
